About The Position

Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties. Essential Functions Statement(s) Deliver and pick up equipment as needed for rental, service, used equipment, and new sales departments. Obey all traffic and safety rules according to DOT regulations. Prepares receipts for load picked up. Maintains truck log, according to State and Federal regulations. Maintains telephone contact with supervisor and/or customers to receive delivery instructions. Loads and unloads truck in a safe manner according to DOT regulations. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water and reports any needed repairs to the supervisor. Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs. Positions blocks and ties straps/chains around items to secure cargo during transit according to DOT regulations. Turn in accurate paperwork in a timely manner. Must keep the delivery truck clean at all times (inside and out). Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid class A CDL license.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record for insurance purposes.
