The team safeguards the company's import/export activities by maintaining regulatory compliance, accuracy in customs declarations, and alignment between brokers, carriers, and internal systems. Acting as the operational backbone of trade execution, the team enables product flow, reduces risk, and drives process consistency across the region. a day in the life: what you'll do The U.S. Trade Operations Manager helps to lead day-to-day import operations and customs compliance for the U.S. within the North America Trade Operations Team. This role ensures all U.S. shipments are entered accurately, duties are paid correctly, and brokers operate within established procedures and service levels. Acting as the key liaison between customs brokers, distribution centers, carriers, and global trade teams, the manager drives operational excellence, entry accuracy, and timely resolution of trade issues impacting flow of goods.

Requirements

  • U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) - required.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in U.S. trade operations, customs brokerage, or compliance leadership.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. import regulations (19 CFR) and PGA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead broker management and customs entry accuracy programs.
  • Hands-on experience with ACE, ABI, SAP, Manhattan, or comparable trade systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with proven cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Section 301/232/IEEPA tariffs and related duty programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (Master's preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution and oversight of all U.S. customs entries across import modes and brokers.
  • Ensure broker accuracy and compliance with classification, valuation, and origin documentation.
  • Validate and reconcile duty, tax, and billing statements; support accurate payments and audits.
  • Monitor broker performance, service level adherence, and continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with systems and data teams to ensure integration accuracy between internal and external platforms.
  • Provide operational support for new business models, distribution strategies, and e-commerce shipments.
  • Develop and maintain compliance reporting and metrics for leadership visibility and decision-making.
