Your Role The US Payroll Analyst will provide operational and day-day payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees supporting multiple legal entities in all 50 states. Act as relationship manager to their cross-functional teams including, Payroll Services, HR Shared Services, Finance, Tax Filing. Ability to handle complex and/or sensitive payroll requests, work in a high volume and fast-paced environment while meeting all deadlines with weekly payroll processing for exempt, non-exempt and contingent labor workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related business discipline or country equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years payroll experience that demonstrates a strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of HR operating environments and exposure to applicable state specific legal processing requirements
  • Strong background in Workday payroll processing and timekeeping system preferred
  • Ability to ensure operations are performed in compliance with company policies, country, state/province, and local laws
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Customer focused work ethic with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the capacity to complete tasks on time
  • Ability to perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies
  • Analyze, audit, validate, and prepare control totals from the timekeeping solution for payroll processing in accordance with the payroll schedule.
  • Run standard reports to identify exception time situations.
  • Prepare and upload necessary pay components to support weekly and/or monthly processing
  • Escalate complex timekeeping & attendance issues and follows through to resolution, ensuring appropriate communication to all involved parties
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the shared payroll inbox, case management tool and partner ticketing management system
  • Generate and distribute standard and ad hoc payroll reports as needed for internal finance and operational departments to track labor costs
  • Develop close working relationships with internal partners such as the Finance & Accounting teams, Benefits, IT, etc. to quickly resolve issues and handle special requests
  • Assist in audits related to payroll processes and provide necessary documentation
  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting (annual grant and subsidy requests for Finance and/or Legal Subpoena’s)
  • Compile, process and audit special payrolls related to but not limited to LTI, Flexible Worker Arrangements, and Relocation
  • Manage daily & weekly tax and garnishment funding requests
