YOUR ROLE The position is designed to execute the daily activities for US import, exports and post entry, as well as to execute month end financial reporting of customs' expenses for Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS). Customs shall be according to the general guidelines that are established by the GTO/GTC Teams. Import/Export daily activities are monitored for all modes of transportation via inland, ocean or air(Next Flight Out, Hand Carry or Charter requirements).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in US Customs
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
  • Basic accounting and foreign trade knowledge
  • General knowledge of US Imports, Exports and Post Entry
  • Occasional travel within North America
  • Ability to work onsite in Troy, MI
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the future

Responsibilities

  • Resolve shipment data insufficiencies for imports and exports
  • Post Entry Corrections
  • Perform Duty Rate Analysis
  • Report Customs' Financials to Business Process Service Provider Invoices for payment
  • Partner Government Agencies' Reporting
  • Customs Entry Data Analysis and Auditing
