About The Position

Forge is seeking a part-time Senior Specialist assigned to the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) in the Space and Facilities Division (SFD) - in support of oversight on a broad and diverse portfolio of architecture, engineering, and construction projects, for comprehensive assessment and reporting on the portfolio and individual projects' health, status and risks. This is a part time position, roughly 25 - 29 hours per week. This position is contingent on award of contract and grant of funding.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field or in a related area.
  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) tasks.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Extensive familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and similar software tools.
  • Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Competency in working autonomously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supporting GSA or Federal Judiciary projects.
  • Experience in procurement and budgeting procedures.
  • Experience in cost analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an overview of SFD's portfolio of projects.
  • Attend typical monthly project meetings, confirm information is correct, and retain project data in a central location
  • Create and update report templates and recommend ways to improve, automate and streamline report production and distribution.
  • Monitor GSA's dashboard tools to ensure that the data is up-to-date and that narratives are consistent in content and format.
  • Review GSA-produced cost estimates.
  • Review AE drawings for constructability issues.
  • Evaluate and monitor budgets for furniture, courtroom technology and other project costs funded by the judiciary.
  • Assist SFD staff with identifying and tracking project risks.
  • Assist with the development of meeting briefing materials.
  • Support budgeting and procurement activities within SFD
  • Be granted approval to obtain a Federal Judiciary physical access card and access to the AO's computer network (via an AO-provided laptop computer).
  • Maintain user accounts for Max.gov, Data-to-Decisions (D2D) and ePM - all federal government web applications.
  • Work onsite at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building in Washington, DC three (3) days per week.
