Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights: Full scope Urology practice Inpatient, outpatient, and first assist opportunities 18-25 patients per day in clinic Four day work week

Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC or AANP certification required.
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required
  • For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required.
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs history and physical assessments.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Order, conduct and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests
  • Involved in teaching and counseling individuals, families and groups
  • Performs minor surgical procedures.
  • Work autonomously as well as collaborate with other health care providers as needed.
  • Performs health maintenance activities.
  • Serve as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocate
  • Administers preventative health care methods.
  • Performs other functions as required.
