About The Position

Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology Team in Jacksonville, Florida! Our Urology providers are experts at making kids feel better. We also know how to explain complicated urological problems in a way that kids understand and strive to make sure every patient receives the best care possible. Nemours urology provides care in the ambulatory and inpatient setting. The working hours will be Monday - Friday, 8-5. Key Responsibilities Provides care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus. Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history(ies). Participates in daily rounds on patients admitted to the Urology service. Performs consults as needed on patients referred to the Urology service. Performs complete or focused physical examinations. Writes Admission, Discharge, pre-operative and post-operative orders Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests. Orders and interprets radiographs and ultrasounds within the PA scope of practice. Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida OR Active Advanced Practice Nurse / Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority Current AHA BLS Experience working with Pediatrics or Child Health preferred. Requirements

  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida
  • Active Advanced Practice Nurse / Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority
  • Current AHA BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Urology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Pediatrics or Child Health preferred.
