About The Position

ATTIC Correctional Services is seeking a Part-Time Urinalysis Technician to provide community-based services to correctional clients transitioning back to their home community. This role involves ensuring program compliance and conducting drug and alcohol testing (breathalyzer and urinalysis screening) for clients on a random or scheduled basis. The technician must be the same gender as the client for observed testing and is expected to maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and high ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be flexible and available for short-notice call-ins, including participation in a weekend rotation.

  • Must have weekend availability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Test collector must be same gender as client providing sample for observed urinalysis testing.
  • Experience and/or education relating to corrections, healthcare, medical, clinical, or laboratory settings.
  • Experience in record keeping.

  • 2-year degree in Corrections and experience in working with offenders

Responsibilities

  • Observe collection of urinalysis and breathalyzer testing.
  • Accurately document each test sample and results, along with summaries and reports.
  • Follow chain of custody protocol during testing procedure.
  • Maintain and update client files on a regular basis.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the facility.
  • Report any concerns to immediate supervisor.
  • Inventory and stock supplies and testing equipment; order as needed.
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, answering phone calls, and copying/scanning.
