Retirement plans with employer contributions and matching Relocation assistance (if applicable) and professional liability coverage Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Beautiful, state-of-the-art centers equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR Supportive staffing model including radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners Part of one of the fastest-growing urgent care networks in the country What We’re Looking For Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds Active state medical license 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting Experience treating patients across all age groups Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays Strong communication and listening skills Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers Your Role As a Physician at Mercy-GoHealth, you’ll independently provide a wide range of clinical services, including: Examining and treating patients with acute conditions Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests Making diagnoses and prescribing medications Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a modern, integrated healthcare environment, with room for professional growth and development. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school required
  • 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
  • Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Active state medical licensure
  • Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
  • Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
  • Active state medical license
  • 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
  • Experience treating patients across all age groups
  • Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays

Nice To Haves

  • Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Responsibilities

  • Examining and treating patients
  • Taking patients’ medical histories
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
  • Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
  • Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
  • Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
  • Educating and counseling patients
  • Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
  • Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
  • Supervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervision
  • Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)
  • Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Examining and treating patients with acute conditions
  • Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care
  • Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support
