About The Position

We’re searching for an Urgent Care Coordinator, someone who’s ready to be part of a growing team with amazing opportunities. In this position you will act as an Administrative Liaison for Urgent Care to ensure deadlines are met in a timely fashion. Participate in department PI by identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with the team to ensure departmental goals are met. Think you’ve got what it takes? Texas Children’s Urgent Care has also expanded to serve the children and families of Austin, Texas, with its first community location in South Austin. Staffed by board-certified pediatricians who have privileges at Texas Children’s Hospital, our Urgent Care team can diagnose and treat a wide variety of common pediatric ailments, illnesses and conditions, including: asthma, strep throat, fever, minor burns, influenza, ear infections, allergic reactions and more. We also provide procedures such as antibiotic injections, breathing treatments, fracture care and splinting, IV (intravenous) fluids, lab services, laceration repair and x-rays on-site. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • 4 years Administrative and/or healthcare experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or other clinical or business field may substitute for 4 years of the experience requirement

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Concentration in Business preferred
  • Front office experience in a medical setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Effectively coordinate the daily operations of Urgent Care by utilizing communication and customer service skills.
  • Maximize patient flow by reviewing daily physicians, and other provider schedules to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Meets all internal and external customer expectations by acting as a liaison to all services practicing at the Urgent Care as well as all referring physician offices.
  • Maximizes patient satisfaction by promptly coordinating formal grievances to correct leader
  • Exercises discretion in resolving patient account problems.
  • Markets Urgent Care initiative to all walk-in prospective customers/visitors which include giving Information regarding history and mission of the Urgent Care, hours of operations, services offered, insurance and referral process.
  • Manages communication with maintenance professionals that include building maintenance, cleaning service and any other needed services to provide an appropriate environment of care.
  • Partners with direct leaders review and approve all requested time off of employees in a timely manner.
  • Partners with clinic managers to help review staffing needs to ensure smooth clinic operation by reviewing daily volumes and the needs of the clinic.
  • Coordinates provider and staff schedules with Medical Director and managers.
  • Prepare reports as directed and track compliance adherence.
  • New Staff on Boarding.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies Maintenance.
  • Administrative Coordination of Tasks.
