Requirements

  • In the process of receiving a Urban Design or Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:
  • Urban Design
  • City and Regional Planning
  • Urban Planning
  • Or Other Related Major (includes Landscape Architecture)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to community planning, urban design, land use analysis, and community engagement.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with planning best practices and regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepare planning, design, and land use studies.
  • Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.
  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modeling, GIS/Arcview, and/or AutoCAD), Powerpoint, and Excel.
