About The Position

Our Urban Planning Team is seeking a motivated student to join our team as an Urban Planning Intern in North Little Rock or Fayetteville. Internship Description: Assist in the development and writing of planning studies and reports such as comprehensive plans, transportation plans, sub-area plans, downtown plans, overlay districts and recreation plans. Assist with the evaluation of rezonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, permits, variances, or other proposals. Receive working experience and training in industry-related design software such as ArcGIS. Attend client meetings, public meetings, and visit planning sites. Requirements

Must be actively pursuing an Urban Planning degree, or related degree such as: Landscape Architecture, Public Administration, Geography, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work in different environments, both indoors and outdoors, as necessary.
Proven time management skills and work ethic.
Proven professional communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Strong interest in pursuing urban planning as a career

Nice To Haves

Previous experience using GIS software.
