Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2-5 year’s experience, Associate’s degree with 1-3 years experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures to generate reproducible data in a controlled laboratory environment
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, data analysis software, and other related applications
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a biopharmaceutical environment and industrial fermentation scale-up a plus

Responsibilities

  • Upstream fermentation processes to produce biotherapeutics
  • Cell culture and aseptic technique including setting up bioreactors
  • Cleaning, Steam in Place, and autoclaving of equipment
  • Basic analytics and data acquisition
  • Monitoring and replenishing lab reagents and solutions
  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate instrumentation in the laboratory
  • Document work as required for GMP compliance
  • Execute work in accordance with standard operating procedures, with attention to detail, and with strong organizational skills
  • Interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team
