Description: Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a dedicated Upper School Science and Physics Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2025-2026 school year. Upper School Science Teacher, teaching primarily Physics and additional related science/math course(s), while fostering a challenging and engaging classroom environment. Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program. Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences. Maintain an active commitment to professional development and contributions to school community through committees and student life activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field with teaching experience at the secondary level.
  • Teacher preparation program, minor in education, or certification preferred.
  • Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations.
  • Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students.
  • Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards and their application in teaching.
  • Ability to inspire curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical sciences in students.
  • Commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, parents, and the wider community.
