About The Position

The Walker School is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, and collaborative professional to serve as our Upper School Operations Assistant, a role that is essential to the daily rhythm and success of our Upper School. This position is more than administrative support, it is a hub of communication, coordination, and community. In this role, you will help shape the daily experience of students, faculty, and families. From managing key systems and schedules to supporting meaningful Upper School traditions and senior year milestones, your work will ensure that everything runs smoothly and that people feel supported, informed, and welcomed. You will be a trusted partner to the Head of Upper School, a go-to resource for faculty, and a steady presence for students navigating a busy and exciting stage of their academic journey.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the Upper School running seamlessly by managing calendars, schedules, and daily operations
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, enrollment, and faculty absences, with strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate logistics for key Upper School events such as parent conferences, Honors Day, and community gatherings
  • Lead coordination of senior activities, helping create memorable and meaningful experiences for graduating students
  • Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for students, families, faculty, and visitors
  • Partner across departments, including Talent and Engagement, Athletics, Facilities, and Dining Services to support school wide initiatives
  • Support communication efforts through email, phone, and in person interactions with professionalism and warmth
  • Assist with guest teacher coordination and general office operations
