About The Position

US Mathematics Teacher The Shipley Upper School seeks an experienced upper school math teacher to work with our existing dynamic team of math teachers. This is a full-time, exempt position within the Upper School reporting to the Head of Upper School and the Math Department Chair. This will be a full-time position beginning August 15, 2026. The ideal candidate will assume the responsibilities and possess the qualifications as indicated below: The Shipley School, founded in 1894, is a co-educational, college preparatory, independent day school currently enrolling 730 students in grades Pre-K through 12. Located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, the school is committed to educational excellence and dedicated to developing in each student a love of learning and compassionate participation in the world. The Middle School has 160 students in grades 6-8, and a faculty of 30. The Shipley School is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals. Requirements

  • Possess a deep passion for Mathematics
  • Hold a degree in mathematics or related field

Responsibilities

  • Teach Math at varied levels in the Math Department.
  • Teach four sections, serve as advisor or teach five sections and attend meetings.
