About The Position

Fort Worth Country Day is seeking enthusiastic, student-centered educators who love teaching mathematics and are eager to join a vibrant Upper School community. Reporting to the Head of Upper School, these dynamic, highly qualified, and approachable teachers will serve as both math instructors and advisors, with one potential immediate opening, and one confirmed position for the 2026–2027 academic year. Our ideal candidates build strong relationships with students and design engaging, collaborative lessons that invite learners to construct knowledge together. Drawing inspiration from evidence-based teaching practices and active learning strategies, they foster a classroom where curiosity and play deepen understanding. We value educators who bring a balanced pedagogical toolkit grounded in research-supported methods while remaining open to exploring new approaches, including thoughtful experimentation with emerging technologies like AI. Above all, we seek educators who believe that belonging, joy, and rigor are inseparable: a classroom built on high expectations can, and should, be a place where students feel seen and genuinely excited to learn. Beyond the classroom, we seek educators who look forward to participating in the broader life of the school in ways that are sustainable and support a healthy work-life balance. Our teachers delight in the energy, humor, and authenticity of teenagers, bring optimism and curiosity to their work, and thrive in a collegial community of adults who learn from and with one another. If Fort Worth Country Day sounds like a place where you can flourish and make an impact, we encourage you to apply.
