About The Position

Francis W. Parker School is seeking applicants to fill the following coaching positions for the Fall 2026 season: Girls Volleyball Varsity Head Coach ($500/Week) Regular season practice and/or competition times are between 6:30 a.m. 8:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Additionally, some Saturdays and Sundays are required depending on the sport. The season runs from 8/10/26 with the possibility of competition through 11/30/26, depending on the sport. The faculty, staff and administration of Francis W. Parker School are integral parts of the School's community. Requirements

• Ability to communicate with high school-aged student-athletes as well as parents and Athletic Department Administration

Nice To Haves

• Coaching experience at the high school level strongly preferred
• Experience/familiarity with IHSA and ISL rules and a commitment to youth sports preferred
• CPR/AED Certification strongly preferred
• ISBE or ASEP/NFHS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Create a team environment of respect and rapport in both coach-athlete and athlete-athlete interaction
• Engage all athletes in learning through individual activities, group and team instruction
• Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting practices, responding to athletes' needs and areas of concern
• Maintain accurate program records of awards, wins/losses, and statistics
• Assist in scheduling non-conference matches and tournaments
• Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with student-athletes and assistant coaches
