About The Position
General: This position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers on the production and warranty furniture components and securing them in place.
Responsibilities
- Install vinyl covers on furniture parts using various stretching, pulling and shaping techniques
- Staple the covers to the furniture parts by using air powered stapling equipment
- Upon completion of work, inspect finished product for quality
- Keep own area clean, safe, and hazard free
- Perform various manual assembly operations such as: trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing
- Be able to identify a piece of foam by its shape
- Collect foam pieces in bundles
- Operate and perform daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap, hydem embossing, heat transfer and screen printing
- Other tasks as assigned
