About our Program: The UofA Athletics Co-Op provides valuable insight and professional level work experience in the healthcare industry. Internships will be offered at non-clinical corporate or facility -based locations. Our program is in-person with potential for remote work depending on department and takes place over ten-weeks. As a program, we seek to attract top talent to develop and promote future leaders in health care. At Banner, we encourage individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply. This program serves as a direct pipeline into future professional roles at Banner Health, offering immersive exposure to operational, strategic, and administrative functions within one of the region’s largest healthcare systems. Junior or Senior enrolled in an Undergraduate Program OR Enrolled in OR completed a Graduate Program within last 6months Enrolled in the University of Arizona POSITION SUMMARY This position typically will be up to one year in length and will work under the direct supervision of a department manager or designee. The position is responsible for expanding experiences and knowledge of practices and procedures as they relate to assigned department and area of study. These activities may include participation in a wide variety of projects. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Expands and develops knowledge with exposure to a variety of roles related to area of study. 2. Participates on work teams, contributes to projects and initiatives, and performs various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department. 3. Performs research and prepares reports on assigned topics and /or projects when required. 4. Works as a member of a team providing service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Junior or Senior enrolled in an Undergraduate Program OR Enrolled in OR completed a Graduate Program within last 6months
• Enrolled in the University of Arizona
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program with course work related to the internship or general knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a college degree.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have general knowledge related to the department/unit/area of study.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with commonly used office software and personal computers may be necessary, depending on assignment.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
