About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the recruitment process for all online professional master’s programs. Operating in a collaborative environment, this position reports to the UO Online Director and works closely with online program directors, Communication staff, and the Division of Graduate Studies. This position plays a key role in determining appropriate recruitment, communication, and outreach strategies in collaboration with online program directors, Communication staff, and the Division of Graduate Studies. Additionally, this position is responsible for connecting students with appropriate resources for general program and scholarship application support prior to program entry. With respect to recruitment, the UO Online Graduate Recruiter is responsible for allotting roughly equal percentages of support for all online professional master’s programs. Current programs include Applied Behavioral Analysis, Psychology, and Immersive Media Communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years of combined experience that includes both recruitment and marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with prospective students from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability with informational and persuasive communication.
  • Strong written communications, including grammar and spelling, demonstrate experience developing narratives that persuasively share information within different formats including text, video, audio, and social media.
  • Ease in using technology for communication, record keeping, and management of data.
  • Experience designing promotional presentation materials; planning and directing promotional activities.
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with faculty, students, and staff across multiple locations and to work collaboratively and effectively, using a range of communication channels with diverse groups of students, faculty, administrators, alumni, staff, and other partners and businesspeople at all levels of an organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with external marketing and recruiting vendors.
  • Graduate degree in communication, business, marketing, or higher education administration from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to create, coordinate and maintain communications; and track marketing and event data.
  • Provide information and resources on program attributes to prospective students.
  • In-depth knowledge of post-degree employment opportunities and practices across multiple degree domains.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and admissions at an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with project management, including managing complex workflows across systems and projects.
