About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a talented Unreal Engine Artist for their in-house Visual Communications team. The mission of Lockheed Martin Space is to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve, creating future-ready solutions focused on resiliency and urgency through their 21st Century Security® vision. This role involves producing high-quality animations for marketing and communications storytelling, with a focus on real-time rendering game engines like Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller who can develop content that presents a fresh perspective, motivates people to act, and meets or exceeds typical media production quality, while working collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 1+ years professional experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating technical skills in industry-standard design programs like Unreal Engine
  • Portfolio demonstrating proficient understanding of timing, camera use, lighting, model integration and composition using Unreal Engine
  • US Citizen to support this government contract
  • Strong 3D storyteller with experience in developing content that presents a fresh perspective, motivates people to act, and matches or exceeds the production quality of the typical media/content people consume
  • Located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado, and be expected to work in the office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience converting models from CAD to Cinema 4D, Maya and other animation packages
  • Experience preferably in the commercial or film industries
  • Experience with Adobe Suite, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Redshift, Substance Painter and the standard 3rd party plugins for each
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch
  • Love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, and the ability to convey creative ideas within a collaborative environment
