Student Workers on Assigned Tasks (S.W.A.T.) are a valuable part of the Office of Housing Operations and Residence Life team at Jacksonville State University. S.W.A.T. is responsible for ensuring that any duties assigned to them are completed in a timely, efficient manner. Duties include but are not limited to moving furniture around campus as necessary, inventory and organization of housing equipment and materials, trash rounds, and all other duties as assigned. Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs. Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester.
If not a first-time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher.
Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJaxState.
Must have a valid Driver’s License to operate a university owned vehicle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be available to work weekends if needed such as move-in weekend.
