About The Position

The University Relations Lead designs and executes Vontier’s campus recruiting and veteran hiring strategies to build high-quality early-career and veteran talent pipelines. This role partners with hiring managers, universities, veteran organizations and internal stakeholders to attract, engage, and convert students, interns, new graduates and veterans into full-time employees while strengthening employer brand and ensuring an inclusive candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of progressive experience in university relations, early talent recruiting, or veteran hiring.
  • Demonstrated success building campus pipelines and managing internship/new-grad programs end-to-end.
  • Proven experience developing and running veteran hiring or military transition initiatives and strong understanding of veteran employment needs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills — able to consult with hiring managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Data-driven program management skills; proficiency with ATS/CRM, MS Excel/Google Sheets and basic reporting/analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an annual campus recruiting strategy and calendar aligned to business workforce plans and diversity goals.
  • Own the full lifecycle of campus and early-career hiring programs (internships, co-ops, new graduate roles), including outreach, selection, onboarding and conversion to full-time.
  • Design and lead veteran hiring strategy and programs (military-to-civilian transition partnerships, veteran-specific outreach, veteran employee resource group engagement).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with target universities, faculty, career centers, student organizations, and veteran support organizations.
  • Plan and execute on-campus events, virtual recruiting activities, career fairs, information sessions, student projects (capstones/hackathons), and employer branding events.
  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to create role descriptions, interview processes, and assessment criteria appropriate for early-career and veteran candidates.
  • Manage candidate pipeline using ATS/CRM; ensure timely communications and positive candidate experience; coordinate interview logistics and offer process.
  • Track program metrics and KPIs (pipeline volume, conversion rates, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, diversity metrics); provide regular reporting and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, vendor relationships (e.g., career fair providers, campus marketing services), and external partnerships.
  • Continuously improve programs by collecting stakeholder and candidate feedback, implementing best practices, and scaling successful pilots.
