About The Position

The University Recruiting team at Okta is on a mission to build a best-in-class intern program, and we are looking for a summer intern to help us achieve that vision. You will be joining a team that is passionate about finding, growing, and retaining the next generation of talent.
This is not a typical administrative role; it is a strategic opportunity for someone interested in the intersection of Human Resources and Program Management. As our Intern, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the intern experience. Your flagship project will be designing, coordinating, and delivering Okta’s first-ever Global Project Showcase, a platform for our interns worldwide to highlight their impact. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
• Interest in HR/Talent: A genuine desire to learn about the recruiting lifecycle and talent development.
• Agility & Plasticity: We are building something new, which means things change quickly. You must be comfortable "rolling with the punches," adapting to ambiguity, and maintaining a positive attitude when plans shift.
• Strong Organizational Skills: You are detail-oriented and can keep track of multiple moving parts without letting things slip through the cracks.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you feel comfortable coordinating with people at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Knowledge: Coursework in Project Management or working toward a certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or similar).
• Event Experience: Previous experience planning events (campus organizations, previous internships, or volunteer work).
• Tech Savvy: AI Native with familiarity with project management tools or HR tools/ATS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Project Showcase: You will own the end-to-end design and execution of our end-of-summer intern showcase. This involves defining the format, managing the timeline, coordinating with global stakeholders, and executing the final event.
• Program Management: Act as the central point of contact for project logistics, ensuring deadlines are met and communication flows between interns, managers, and the UR team.
• Event Planning & Logistics: Support the planning of various intern events (socials, executive speaker series, and workshops), handling the "behind the scenes" details that make events successful.
