Vast is looking for a University Recruiting Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. If you’re energized by connecting with and creating opportunities for the next generation of talent, this role is for you. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of talent at Vast by supporting campus recruiting efforts, engaging students at events, and bringing our brand to life through events with opportunities to travel. This will be a full-time, non-exempt, 12-month fixed term position located in our Long Beach, CA location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 1+ years of experience in university related coordination or recruiting
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or similar tools
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA
  • Ability to travel up to 40% during peak recruiting season and work flexible hours when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

  • Support and elevate campus recruiting efforts through recruitment events, university partnerships, and student-facing experiences
  • Travel as needed to support all university recruiting and program related engagements
  • Assist in planning and executing high-impact events including conferences, intern programming, and speaker series
  • Bring our brand to life by developing presentation and create compelling event materials
  • Provide end-to-end administrative support across the recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate experience, offer processing, and onboarding logistics
  • Coordinate intern program operations, ensuring seamless execution of timelines, communications, and logistics across all stakeholders
  • Manage recruiting tools, systems, and data (e.g., trackers, Google Drive, presentation materials) to ensure real-time accuracy and data integrity
  • Partner closely with recruiters to support execution of emerging talent hiring strategies and programs
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance recruiting operations, documentation accuracy, and team effectiveness
