University Recruiter – Bay Area
About The Position
At Frank, Rimerman, our Recruiting Team is a spirited group of thirteen professionals who are passionate about positively impacting our Firm. Our Bay Area University Recruiter will champion university recruiting efforts in Silicon Valley and the greater Bay Area, where our largest offices are located. As a University Recruiter, you will drive campus engagement with both students and faculty, deepening our brand’s reach and impact over time. You will manage all stages of interaction with our Firm, leading candidates from initial interest to offer extension. Within your geographic territory, you will serve as the point of contact for 4-5 core universities, attending and managing the Firm’s participation at career fairs, club presentations, faculty meetings, incoming candidate activities and other campus events. Expectations are to visit each core university five times per academic year. You will also steer efforts at 4-5 secondary universities, where you will occasionally participate in-person but mostly coordinate the attendance of Firm representatives. School assignments may shift over time - flexibility is key as we regularly reevaluate campuses in line with goals. As our Firm and hiring plans grow, we will be looking to expand our recruiting reach to new campuses. Our University Recruiters are key in identifying and developing the best opportunities to grow our presence. They are also essential to maintaining knowledge of college recruiting trends in accounting. Your knowledge and first-hand experiences will help guide the Firm’s university recruiting strategy at various levels. You will have guidance from our University Recruiting Managers and Director, and the support of coordinators who ensure we provide quality candidate experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred majors include: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications
- 1-5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in business/accounting and/or at the university level
- Resides in the Pacific time zone, preferably in the Bay Area
- Ability to regularly travel domestically, up to 50% of the time
Responsibilities
- Organize, attend and lead various on-campus events in collaboration with our professionals to expand recruiting presence and impact
- Foster relationships with faculty and student organizations to increase Frank, Rimerman brand recognition
- Thoughtfully position the Firm and plan for successful, well-timed recruiting seasons
- Positively engage candidates as an early point of contact, quickly drawing interest to our Firm and opportunities
- Screen resumes, cover letters, and transcripts to determine candidate eligibility
- Conduct first round interviews and Firm introduction calls
- Stay connected with incoming hires leading into start dates
- Develop strong internal connections to stay updated on Firm happenings and opportunities, frequently visiting one of our Bay Area offices (San Francisco or San Jose)
- Assist with planning and execution of select early identification events and/or hiring programs (eg, attending summer internship activities)
- Provide support and mentorship to our rising coordinators
