About The Position

The primary purpose of the UNC SERC and CHASE University Program Associate will be to support the Directors (including Deputy and Managing Directors) of the UNC SERC , Sustainable Energy Research Consortium, (https://serc.web.unc.edu) and the DOE Basic Energy Sciences Hub the Center for Hybrid Approaches in Solar Energy ( CHASE ) to Liquid Fuels (www.chaseliquidfuels.org) in the Chemistry Department at UNC Chapel Hill with a variety of business activities involved with a major research Center. The role will report directly to the SERC Director, and will work closely with the CHASE Directorate and the SERC Program Manager. The role involves high levels of independence, autonomy, decision making, and encompasses a large breadth of tasks and administrative support to large-scale collaborative research organizations. Managing internal and external communication, ensuring smooth operations, event planning, database maintenance, and providing support for pre- and post-award project reporting. Additionally, this role includes calendar management, meeting organization, and facilitating efficient committee functions.
