Requirements

  • NYS Teaching Certification, Early Childhood Education; Birth to 2nd or N to 6th with up to three (3) years of experience working in a school setting a plus.
  • Administrative experience required
  • Valid NYS Drivers License
  • Registered & Insured Vehicle
  • NYS registry clearance
  • The role may require mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at or community facilities, recognizing that not all locations may meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
  • Manual dexterity is essential, particularly when working with children and adults in dynamic and challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the effective operation of the program including managing enrollment, registration and billing.
  • Oversee the recruiting and enrollment processes for eligible UPK and Head Start students, including conducting intakes, managing required documentation, maintaining wait-lists, and tracking enrollment data.
  • Track and submit billing for SCSD on a monthly basis.
  • Create and maintain student files in compliance with SCSD, HS, CACFP, and OCFS.
  • Create and maintain class rosters, complete online applications, submit paperwork to SCSD registration office.
  • Collect and submit updated student medical records to SCSD Health Office and send referrals to Head Start Intake office.
  • Collect, compile, report immunization data to the NYS Dept. of Health and attend regular meetings including: weekly supervision, monthly Admin. team, monthly staff meetings, quarterly Management Team meetings.
  • Act as professional role model for staff and participants, maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks/duties as assigned and stay in compliance with OCFS mandated training requirements
