About The Position

A Deposit Operations Specialist I handles various assigned department duties related to the bank’s deposit applications.  This team member works closely with others to ensure that all daily assignments are accurately completed and on time.  Excellent Signature Service is required when interacting with branches and other internal staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Detail oriented, strong organization skills, the ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be customer service focused with a desire to deliver Signature Service to internal customers.
  • Ability to comply with all Federal and State banking laws and related regulations.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Confidentiality required.
  • Proficient computer skills working with spreadsheets, word processing, utilizing the internet/intranet and active engagement using new technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banking experience is preferred.
  • Deposit banking operations experience or similar experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure NSF and Nonpost exception items are correctly completed and that deadlines are met.
  • Perform CIF, DDA, and Safe Deposit Box account level I system maintenance and ensure compliance with bank policy and procedures.
  • Perform reconcilements with accuracy for various general ledger accounts and clear exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Complete quality control review of consumer new accounts
  • Review Death notification report and create events for completion.
  • Responsible for completing foreign check collections and currency orders.
  • Perform debit card ordering and complete special handling requests.
  • Review dormant accounts and ensure reactivation in accordance with bank policy and procedure.
  • Accurately process payments and respond to information requests from Federal and State Government entities.
  • Remain current on all enhancements of applicable systems and attend training as required.
  • Remain knowledgeable of all banking products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Position will be required to comply with all Federal and State banking laws and related regulations, to include but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
