About The Position

Provides routine general clerical support or medical-related support which may include patient care, student service, reports, and statistics. The Unit Secretary ensures that a positive atmosphere is maintained on the nursing unit. Through collaborative efforts with members of the interdisciplinary team, the Unit Secretary demonstrates good public relations skills when communicating with patients, visitors, co-workers and physicians. The Unit Secretary assist the nurses, charge nurse, nursing supervisor and unit director in coordinating the flow of the unit activity.
