About The Position

Unit Secretary – Emergency Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest - 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth TX 76132 Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) for 36 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements Emergency Department highlights: Our experienced and compassionate multi-disciplinary team in our Emergency Department cares for roughly 170 patients per day on our 43-bed unit. We offer self-scheduling for our Nurses which provides you with more flexibility and a nurse to patient ratio will depend on the acuity and area within the ED. We are a Magnet designated facility, Joint Commission certified in chest pain, heart failure and stroke, Emergency Center of Excellency by Emergency Excellence and Texas Ten Step Member Mother Friendly Worksite. At Texas Health Southwest and Texas Health Clearfork, we operate as one hospital across two locations, proudly serving the southwest Fort Worth area and its surrounding communities since 1987. Our 261-bed, full-service hospital provides convenient access to care for patients across Tarrant County. Our specialties include surgical services, orthopedics, rehabilitation, imaging, and adult critical care. We also offer a 24-hour emergency department. Additionally, we are certified as a Primary Heart Attack Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Trauma Center, Level III Maternal Center, Level III Neonatal Center, and a nationally accredited facility for Breast care, as well as Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required.
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers.
  • Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills and communicates effectively.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in schedule and/or workload assignment necessary to meet changing needs of the individual patient or unit.
  • Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills and communication with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
  • Maintains Unit Secretary skills.
  • Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements Complies with personnel policies i.e. Attendance, ID badge, Dress Code, et. al.
