Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalency examination.
  • Experience: Previous secretarial experience desirable.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current American (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) card preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of clerical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Skill in English grammar and spelling.
  • Neat, legible handwriting.
  • Ability to file and maintain patient records, files and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use office equipment, such as multi-line telephones, computer terminals and printers.
  • Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors.
