About The Position

The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division (MCC) of Applied Research Associates, Inc (ARA) is seeking a full- Unit Operations Training Support (ASOS) to join our team. The right candidate will build, publish, and maintain mission-critical schedules for pilots, aircrew, instructors, evaluators, and support personnel using government-mandated systems such as PEX or TACTICS. This role ensures compliance with squadron leadership priorities and operational requirements, resolves scheduling conflicts, and supports short-notice changes to maintain mission readiness. This position requires an active Secret clearance and experience in DoD flying operations scheduling. . This person will provide on-site to the customer at Camp Bullis TX. This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in March 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 0-2 years of experience working in a squadron (CAF FS/USAFWC/ASOS), group, or wing training program OR 6+ years of experience working in a DoD flying squadron, group, or wing training program in lieu of a degree
  • Experience using PEX (FS) or TACTICS (ASOS) or similar scheduling program
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Active / current Secret security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Have recent experience supporting CAF FS/AFWX/ASOS

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all training aspects within the squadron, to include certification programs and upgrade training.
  • Build and maintain training folders, monitor upgrade/certification progression, and update data in TACTICS and locally developed databases.
  • Review and update individual records IAW applicable AFIs/AFMANs, associated MAJCOM Installation supplements, and locally developed guidance.
  • In- and out-process all members, and their training records, and ensure coordination on the leave or pass process when it pertains to the training function.
  • Coordinate with scheduling to ensure squadron personnel are scheduled for pre-deployment training requirements.
  • Administer classes, task evaluations, and exams.
  • Provide daily tracking of continuation training accomplishment.
  • Provide weekly reports to squadron leadership with continuation training status summaries and personnel readiness status.
  • Coordinate with squadron scheduling and other external agencies to maximize training opportunities IAW squadron leadership guidance.
  • Create quarterly Ready Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Program (RJP) reports and inputs to Air Support Operations Group (ASOG).
