About The Position

The Unit Manager Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at CarDon and Associates plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care within the assigned unit. This position is responsible for managing nursing associates and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Requirements

  • Current and valid Nursing License (RN or LPN) in the state of Indiana.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with residents and associates.
  • Ability to provide resident education tailored to individual needs.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage unit operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or unit management role within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working in long-term care or rehabilitation facilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the nursing associates to ensure efficient and effective resident care.
  • Assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans, with particular attention to wound care management and resident education.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Provide direct resident care as needed, including administering medications, treatments, and wound care procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between residents, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Conduct associate training, performance evaluations, and support professional development initiatives.
  • Manage documentation and reporting to ensure accuracy and confidentiality in resident records.
