Plans, implements, coordinates and directs operating and maintenance activities for the Chlor-Alkali Unit team to optimize product volume, quality and long-term profitability. Responsible for the overall safety and environmental performance of the Chlor-Alkali Unit.
Requirements
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering discipline.
- Progressive experience, including applicable skills related to the petrochemical and plastic industries acceptable to management.
Responsibilities
- Oversees maintenance activities as they relate to unit operations.
- Identifies and implements projects for operational efficiency improvements.
- Oversees reviews and revisions to standard operating procedures ISO quality documentation, as necessary.
- Resolves issues concerning product quality and nonconformances.
- Coordinates product supply and distribution issues with the marketing and traffic departments.
- Ensures safety of the Department by monitoring housekeeping and potential hazards to personnel.
- Monitors adherence to company personnel policies.
- Supports training activities to achieve promotion and developmental opportunities for technical and hourly employees.
- Assists in developing yearly capital and operating budgets.
- Set goals and objectives for revenue enhancement.
- Maintains effective communications with other plant departments.
