About The Position

Responsible for managing bed utilization and ensuring appropriate client placement across units and levels of care within bed-based care facilities. This role coordinates client movements, admissions, and transfers, supports utilization management, and facilitates communication across internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient, compliant, and client-centered care delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant health/human services field or other related fields relevant to this work required
  • More than five years of experience in a similar role required
  • More than two years of experience leading teams/programs is required
  • Demonstrated experience working in a community-based behavioral health setting, providing direct support or services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges required
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire required; must maintain a clean driving record. Position involves safely transporting clients to appointments, community activities, and partner agency locations.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required at time or hire or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee real-time client placement across multiple units and levels of care, ensuring appropriate bed assignments based on clinical needs and facility capacity.
  • Perform regular rounding to update unit leaders and staff on client movements, transfers, and discharges. Maintain accurate and current urgent care and unit bed boards.
  • Complete regular rounding of units to provide real time updates to unit leaders/staff of facility utilization and client movements/transfers/discharges.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary rounds and shift change huddles to support coordinated care planning and efficient bed use.
  • Work closely with clinical, medical, and operations supervisors to optimize service delivery and maximize bed utilization efficiency.
  • Conduct chart audits and assist with admissions reviews to ensure services are delivered cost-effectively and in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the on-site administrator in the absence of facility Managers or Directors, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external community partners regarding client coordination, crisis services, and residential care referrals.
