We are seeking an experienced administrative profession for a highly visible role within our prestigious Lunder 7 unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. The unit is seeking a full-time Unit Coordinator, with Weekday Evening availability, and to provide scheduled holiday coverage. Lunder 7 is a 32- bed adult neurosciences unit that regularly admits patients with strokes, head and spinal trauma, as well as general Neuromedical and neurosurgical patients. Applicants for this position must be able to provide ample availability to train for this opportunity on Day shift up two weeks. Schedule • Evenings Shift, 3pm-11:30am, Monday - Friday. • No weekends. • Able to work scheduled Holiday shifts Only applicants able to provide Monday through Friday evening coverage will be highly considered at this time. Job Summary Summary Provides administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff, functioning as the liaison between the patient, visitors and the clinicians. Expected to effectively organize priorities, complete tasks on time and to manage confidential patient information. Responsible for partnering with nursing to coordinate the day-to-day patient flow including communication to key players regarding patient admissions, discharges and transfers.
