About The Position
Assists in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physically present and immediately available Registered Nurse/ OB Provider. Held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health. Requirements
- Certified Nurse Assistant; North Dakota, required upon hire.
- ND State Nursing Assistant Registry - https://services.ndhhs.gov/nurseaide
- American Hearth Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-CPR, within 30 days of start.
Responsibilities
- Perform/record vital signs
- CPR
- Assist provider with treatment when appropriate
- Clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization
- Collect urine specimens
- Phlebotomy
- Assist in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
- Assist with patient transports and transfers
- Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider's orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation
- Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Practice safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
- Utilize resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
