The Unit Controller supports strategic financial management for the client account. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, leads budgeting and forecasting processes, partners closely with operations to maintain profitability, and drives strong cost controls and compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a service-oriented or multi-site operational environment
  • Strong financial analysis and forecasting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines in a remote environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP or financial systems (Oracle or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by location, create weekly/monthly/annual financial reports
  • Coordinate general accounting functions including journal entry preparation and posting
  • Control of subsidiary ledgers
  • Balancing of all accounts on a monthly basis
  • Sales / Bank account reconciliation
  • Post & allocate receipts accurately and in a timely manner
  • Extract, reconcile, and audit data from POS and financial systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Highly collaborative with leadership and communicate key levers to improve margins
  • Maintain all financial records and reports in adherence with Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy and all local, state, and federal regulations and codes

  • Train and develop operations teams on financial acumen and policies with oversite of weekly/monthly financial data
  • Accountable for Cash Flow, Cash/Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Capital Expenditures and Repair & Maintenance funds.
  • Accurately supervising customer accounts on a regular basis to ensure the company’s credit control policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Processing of weekly accounts payable and work with suppliers to reconcile accounts
  • Serve as a finance subject matter expert, troubleshooting system or reporting issues and supporting tools
