The Uniformed Unarmed Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both employees and visitors at our facility in San Antonio, TX, while also supporting essential operational and administrative functions. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, as well as assisting with daily site operations and documentation. The associate will serve as a visible deterrent to potential security threats while providing assistance, guidance, and administrative support as needed. Effective communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills are essential, as the associate will interact with a diverse range of people and handle operational tasks daily. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to foster a secure, well-organized environment that promotes safety, efficiency, and peace of mind for all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong observational abilities, which are essential for identifying potential security threats during patrols.
  • Effective communication skills are vital, as the associate will need to interact with a variety of individuals and convey important information clearly.
  • Conflict resolution skills will be utilized when addressing any disturbances or issues that arise on-site, ensuring a peaceful environment.
  • Organizational skills are important for maintaining accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to create, update, and manage spreadsheets, reports, and data accurately.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement.
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both indoors and outdoors, to monitor for any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
  • Provide assistance to employees and visitors, answering questions and directing them as needed.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Report any incidents or irregularities to the appropriate authorities in a timely manner using the reporting protocols and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
