We are seeking a driven, results-oriented individual to join our team as Underwriting Admin and Support. This team is part of the CUO office and provides global support for SiriusPoint across several areas: managing business partners, conducting sanctions checks, controlling data, supporting underwriters worldwide, collaborating with various departments to manage data, participating in projects, enhancing work processes, contributing to quarterly book closing, and ensuring underwriting data consistency. Additionally, we assist the underwriting organization with contract entry and administrative support. Our responsibilities also include working towards globalizing and streamlining processes, identifying opportunities for change, automation, and efficiency improvements.

  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive underwriting administrative support, encompassing both the accurate registration of business within relevant systems and the meticulous management and review of policy wordings, ensuring all documentation meets the highest standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate, analyse, and interpret a range of underwriting reports, conducting detailed controls and validations to ensure the consistency, integrity, and accuracy of underwriting data across the organisation.
  • Act as the primary point of responsibility for conducting first-line sanctions checks, ensuring all business activities and counterparties are thoroughly vetted and compliant with global regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide proactive general support to all business units, addressing queries and facilitating corrections or registrations within core insurance platforms such as SICS, thereby supporting operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and system users to continuously enhance, update, and evolve underwriting support systems, identifying opportunities for technological improvements and participating in the development and implementation of system upgrades.
  • Maintain and manage the business partner database, ensuring information remains current and comprehensive, including the regular updating of sanctions-related data to support compliance and risk management activities.
  • Drive initiatives to globalise, streamline, and automate underwriting processes wherever feasible, identifying and implementing best practices and technological solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and educational resources for users involved in the underwriting process, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring high standards of process understanding and compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects, representing the underwriting function and providing subject matter expertise to ensure that underwriting considerations are integrated into broader business initiatives and change programmes.
  • Take responsibility for specific elements of the quarterly book closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of underwriting-related deliverables and supporting the finance team in achieving reliable financial reporting outcomes.
  • A university degree is preferred, particularly in economics, insurance, or a related discipline, with additional legal knowledge considered advantageous.
  • Candidates should possess demonstrable experience and expertise within the insurance and reinsurance sector, encompassing both inwards and outwards business.
  • Proficiency in office software applications and sound IT skills are essential.
  • An interest in driving process efficiency and automation is highly valued. Familiarity with sanctions compliance and accounting practices is also pertinent.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English is required

  • A collaborative approach, with a preference for project-based work and openness to both giving and receiving feedback, is essential.

  • Experience in using core industry platforms such as SICS and/or Bridger (Nexus Lexus) is desirable.
  • Additional language skills would be viewed favourably.
