About The Position

An Underwriter Assistant provides support to an Underwriter by reviewing applications, evaluating risk, creating quotes, and processing new and renewal business. This role is described as a stepping stone into a lucrative career in Underwriting, offering exposure to risk analysis, relationship building, and direct learning from an Underwriter. No insurance experience is required to be successful, as Bass Underwriters will provide the necessary tools and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
• Must be able to prioritize and be responsive to complex issues
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate various websites and databases
• Highly motivated with a positive outgoing personality

• Have a service mentality
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment
