About The Position
The UX Design Intern will play a hands-on role in shaping the user experience across several USTA digital platforms, including USTA.com, USTACoaching.com, USTAFoundation.com, RedBallTennis.com, USTANationalCampus.com, and other USTA websites and applications. Throughout the internship, you will participate in daily standups with the UX, .com, and Coaching development teams; conduct user research; analyze website performance metrics; and help design intuitive, user-centered experiences. You will also conduct user tests with USTA user groups and contribute to the continuous improvement of our digital ecosystem. You will gain practical experience with industry-standard UX and research tools such as Figma, UserTesting.com, HotJar, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and Adobe Analytics. Your work will support the research, design, testing, and development of scalable components aligned with the USTA’s design system.
Requirements
- Familiar with UX and research tools such as Figma, UserTesting.com, HotJar, and Adobe Analytics
- Curious, creative, and detail-oriented with a passion for user-centered design
- Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and product teams
- Interested in learning how research, data, and design come together to shape digital experiences
- Organized, proactive, and eager to contribute to meaningful design projects
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and heuristic evaluations
- Analyze website performance metrics to identify pain points and opportunities
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers in daily standups and project meetings
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design solutions using Figma
- Assist in designing scalable UI components aligned with the USTA design system
- Support usability testing efforts using tools such as UserTesting.com and HotJar
- Contribute insights and documentation to help guide design decisions across web and mobile applications
