About The Position

Arts & Science is seeking a dedicated Undergraduate Advisor to join the Department of Politics. This Undergraduate Advisor is a 1-year fixed term role. This position will advise prospective and current undergraduate students of requirements, courses, policies and procedures. Assess student academic progress and identify eligibility for special academic support. Assist the Director with administrative and non-academic student matters. Provide additional administrative services for academic programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience advising on program or service options, planning various activities and events.
• Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years in a Higher Education environment.
• Advising students at a college or university level.
