Come join us in delivering better outcomes for our clients around the world! 2026 Undergraduate Summer Intern – Job Posting Department Title: Undergrad Intern – FTT Investment Technology Solutions Western Asset Management (WAM) Attribution Position Summary: The Franklin Templeton Technology (FTT) Investment Technology Solutions Western Asset Management (WAM) Attribution team is responsible for the development of Western Asset Management’s Attribution Calculation and Reporting Platform. The Attribution Technology team sits at a key intersection of portfolio management and technology. Our intern will learn how technology can be used to inform key stakeholders of how a portfolio is performing relative to a benchmark and the factors influencing its performance. Our team’s goal is to integrate our attribution models and reporting within the framework of the wider Franklin Templeton technology environment while constantly improving the accuracy, scalability, and functionality of the platform. Using modern technologies and software engineering practices, this presents a unique opportunity for an intern to contribute to a high impact initiative while learning about software engineering and financial analytics within the context of the wider investment management industry. Team Culture: While the Attribution Team interfaces with many other technology teams, it is unique in that it also interfaces with a wide variety of key business stakeholders such as portfolio management, risk management, and client services to deliver technology solutions that meet their needs. It is a highly collaborative team whose members possess a mix of technology and/or quantitative finance backgrounds. An intern in this department can expect to learn: How technology can be used to create financial analytics to inform decision making Enterprise technologies used in industry Different aspects of the software development lifecycle How to work in a team environment Communication and presentation skills

Requirements

  • Eager to learn and to dig deep into problems to solve them.
  • Familiarity with programming in Java and OO concepts
  • Familiarity with managing data (e.g. SQL, RDBMS, etc.)
  • Interest in the financial industry

Responsibilities

  • The Attribution Technology team intern will be responsible for the completion of an end-to-end implementation of an impactful software engineering project.
