As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Detail in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication and customer service to staff, patients, and visitors while documenting observations and reporting concerns. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements, supported by a caring, agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas by observing identification and/or visitor authorization requirements, reporting irregularities per site procedure.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol activity, and shift communications, using required systems and/or paper forms.
