As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with a calm, customer-focused approach. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access control points for employees, contractors and drivers, verifying authorization, directing visitor and delivery traffic and/or checking inbound and outbound shipments as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, injuries and/or property damage, and coordinate with site contacts and responding authorities as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents and unusual conditions, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership per post instructions.
