Responsibilities

Patrolling: Rovers conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, which may include walking, biking, or driving. This helps deter crime and allows them to identify any unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
Monitoring Surveillance Systems: They are often tasked with monitoring CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect potential security breaches or unusual behavior.
Responding to Incidents: In the event of disturbances, emergencies, or security breaches, rovers are expected to respond promptly. This may involve assessing the situation, providing assistance, or contacting law enforcement if necessary.
Reporting: Rovers maintain detailed logs and incident reports documenting their patrols, observations, and any incidents encountered during their shifts. Accurate reporting is crucial for security protocols and investigations.
Customer Service: Depending on the environment, rovers may also interact with employees, visitors, or residents, providing assistance, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security.
Enforcing Security Policies: Rovers are responsible for enforcing the security policies and procedures established by their employer or client, ensuring compliance and safety within the premises.
