About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Los Angeles , CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication. Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR, baton, handcuffing, and pepper spray certifications are preferred.
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
Support access control protocols and verify identification as required by site policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and/or incidents encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to address concerns and relay important information.
Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management during daily operations.
